Pedro Jorge
I'm a graduate in Advertising from ESPM with a background in Architecture and photography, which strengthened the development of a creative vision that moves naturally between strategy and aesthetics. Throughout my career, I've worked as a graphic designer in marketing agencies and companies across different niches, developing visual communication for brands.

I have ths curiosity about the world as my main driver for building narrative languages. This, combined with a genuine interest in the visual arts, a specialization in photography, and international experiences, gives me a broad repertoire that sets my creative direction apart.

“Scribbles”
Zine

As part of the freehand drawing course within the architecture program at Escola da Cidade, I was assigned the task of developing a zine that explored the potential of drawing.

So I went with the theme of Rabiscos (Scribbles), starting from the concept of drawings waiting to be discovered in unexpected places.

I visited several stationery stores across São Paulo, collecting pen-testing papers, and from the random marks made in that context, I began finding characters, animals, objects, and people, bringing something new, different, and playful to references that, at first glance, go unnoticed.

Exhibition
Kawaii Culture
in Japan

Estúdio Deriva offers architecture teaching through cultural experiences around the world. I took part in the edition that had Japan as its destination.

In that process, I chose to develop a visual research on Kawaii culture (a cute, vulnerable aesthetic of Japanese origin) to build the project around the travel experience, which became part of the exhibition at the end of the course.

I documented all my organic encounters with Kawaii elements during my time in Japan, in order to get a clearer sense of its presence in the country's everyday life.

The final product was a panel with over 300 photos, which ended up being presented at Japan House São Paulo.

Photobook
“Nothing to See Here ”

In the course "A Forma do Fotolivro" (The Shape of the Photobook) at Galpão Comum, I learned more about this medium of graphic production, as well as developing my own.

The photobook "Nada a Ver" emerged from the use of original images and personal archive material, bringing together photos from my childhood, everyday life in São Paulo, my hometown of Catalão - GO, and travel photographs as well.

These images are combined into photomontages that, through similarities in color and form, merge naturally, creating scenes that seem plausible even though they're built from distinct contexts.

The result is a set of fabricated memories, proposing a way of looking that both defamiliarizes the everyday and normalizes an idealized tourist imaginary.

Social Media
Designer

I've worked as a graphic designer in marketing agencies and directly with clients as a freelancer, handling brands' visual communication, especially on social media, with a focus on identity and narrative consistency across platforms.

In doing so, I ensure the adaptation of language and aesthetics according to each client's positioning and audience, maintaining discursive and visual coherence, working both with pre-established brand books and style guidelines and on the development of new visual projects.

Since I have technical training in photography from Escola Panamericana de Artes, I also occasionally shoot images for the clients I work with, ensuring a seamless integration between photography and graphic design.
